We deliberately do not publish a single “current price per kW” because prices move with module costs, GST, state, roof type and vendor. Instead, understand what makes up a quote so you can compare them.
What a complete quote should include
- Panels (brand, wattage, technology, warranty)
- Inverter (brand, capacity, warranty)
- Mounting structure (material, height, wind rating)
- DC/AC cabling, earthing, protection devices
- Net meter and DISCOM liaison charges
- Installation labour, transport and taxes
- After-sales service terms
Why prices differ
Higher-efficiency panels, elevated structures, longer cable runs, hybrid inverters with batteries and brand premiums all raise price. A very low quote may omit structure quality, earthing or paperwork.
Rule of thumb
Cost per kW usually falls as system size increases, because fixed costs (inverter, meter, paperwork) are spread over more panels.
